Today Rising Star launched the official website for BEYBLADE: Evolution that is being released on the 3DS on the 4th October this year in the EU, and later on the 29th of October in the US.

Accompanying the release of a new series of Beyblade toys and anime “Shogun Steel”, Evolution will be available in a normal edition or a collector’s edition that will include the Hyperblades Wing Pegasus 90WF Beyblade, which until now was only available in Japan.

Evolution will make use of the motion and gyro sensors in the 3DS to aid the AR the game will offer. You’ll be able to play with your stadium on top of you desk for example, and will be able to move the camera around to get a more accurate view of the battlefield. There will also be parts for you to collect so you can customise your own Beyblade that you can send out in online or local multiplayer battles, or if you’re not a multiplayer kind of person there is always the story mode for you to complete.

Battles will be held in a 3 walled Beystadium so you will be able to defeat your opponents by knock out or just having the longer lasting Beyblade. While you watch the battle unfold in the top screen, the bottom screen will display the statistics for your blade throughout the battle, letting you know where your blade is superior or slacking off.

On the Beyblade: Evolution website, you can download an AR card for you to print out that will let you “enjoy exciting action in the virtual arena”.

I am very curious as to how it’s all going to turn out and how well they implement the AR usage with the arenas. Bring on October.
