Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Will Have Multiplayer Open Alpha This Week #Gamescom2019

During the Gamescom Opening Night Live event hosted by Geoff Keighley, it was announced that ahead of its multiplayer beta next month, the “re-imaginedCall of Duty: Modern Warfare will be getting a open multiplayer alpha on PlayStation 4 starting this Friday.  Sadly, this alpha is exclusive to PS4 and as such, won’t be coming to PC or Xbox One.

The alpha test is open to all, as you do not need an active PlayStation Plus subscription to participate, you just need to download it from the PSN Store and it will last all weekend.  The alpha will be testing out the 2vs2 multiplayer mode known as Gunfight and it will feature five brand new maps, including two never seen before.  Gunfight is a ‘best of series’ of rounds, with each round only lasting 40 seconds each and all players will have the same weapon loadout.

Are you excited to play the alpha this week?  Let us know across our social media channels.  Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 25th.
