PlayStation has just had their live stream for DriveClub revealing offline footage. The video itself covers a lot of details including weather dynamics.

Weather is in fact coming to DriveClub,  Evolution Studios’ has stated that is such a new dynamic feature that it only exists in the game on director Paul Rustchynsky’s laptop, which is running a PlayStation 4 development kit playing his personal build of the game.

This is a quite early version of it,” Rustchynsky said. “We’re sort of balancing everything, so you can expect in a few months’ time, when we’re really got to grips with the new technology it’s going to look even better.

That’s not all; Evolution Studios have also confirmed that you can play DriveClub via three different control methods. One of them is steering with the D-Pad/analogues. The DualShock 4’s motion sensor can also be used to steer as well. But, what’s a racing title without a racing wheel? Well look no further as they have just revealed that the already released Thrustmaster T80 Racing Wheel will be compatible with DriveClub.

Here are some features about the steering wheel:

  • PS4 / PS3 sliding switch (for full compatibility of the USB Racing Wheel on PS3
  • Wheel grip with rubber texture coating
  • 2 On-wheel sequential digital gear shift paddles
  • Large optimized pedal set – Adjustable angle of inclination for each pedal & Brake pedal featuring progressive resistance
  • Fully programmable: 2 sequential levers + 11 action buttons + D-Pad
  • Large programmable, progressive pedal set with wide foot-rest for ultra-precise, comfortable acceleration and braking
  • Adjustable wheel sensitivity for precise driving
  • Linear resistance – Auto-centring
  • Central clamping system with wide jaws for optimal stability with all desk and table types

At the moment, there is no footage revealing the different types of dynamic Weather effects that will be featured in the title, but it is nice to hear that the weather could play a big part in the in DriveClub.

A big batch of fresh screenshots has also been released; you can find all the new juicy images below.  Keep a lookout for further DriveClub details in the forthcoming months.
