#E32015 Gears Of War 4 & Ultimate Edition Announced, Beta Starts Now!

 

To wrap up the Microsoft conference, the official announcement of Gears of War 4 and Gears of War Ultimate Edition closed out the show and boy, does GOW4 look so freakin sweet!  You can see for yourself in the gameplay video above, which seems to capture the horror and tension that was present during some sections of the original game.  Gears of War 4 will release for the Xbox One at the end of 2016.

Meanwhile the Gears of War Ultimate Edition is a remastered version of the original, complete with rebuilt textures, and 1080p/60fps visuals and it will release August 25^th this year.

If that wasn’t enough Gears of War goodness for you, then the Gears of War Ultimate Edition multiplayer public beta starts tonight and it is open for one week.  You will of course need an Xbox One and an active Gold subscription to participate in the beta and an additional 7GB of storage space.

The mode in the beta will be for Versus only and Microsoft stated that those who purchase the Gears of War Ultimate Edition will be granted access to the Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta in 2016.
