Kadokawa, developers of the upcoming visual novel adventure Root Letter have announced PQube as the English publisher for their game, meaning a release in North America and Europe is confirmed.

A visual novel, set with a perplexing situation to solve, choices and multiple endings; the game follows the mystery of a missing pen pal.

“Root Letter is set in the Shimane prefecture, a land with a rich history and beautiful nature.
The player will engage an adventure to solve the mystery of Fumino Aya, a pen pal friend from high school who disappeared after leaving a mysterious letter. A letter delivered 15 years later…”

The game has been announced in Asian territories for some time, already racking up a reported 50k pre-orders and will release there on 16th June. As for North America and Europe, we can expect it sometime this year on PS4 and Vita.

There’s a selection of story/teaser trailers which I will post below if you’re interested, and hopefully we will hear about a solid release date soon.
