Final Fantasy X/X-2 Trailer – Short Movies Yuna, Lulu & Field

There is something truly beautiful about the HD remaster of this game. It does not simply ape a texture update in any way shape or form, Square Enix have done some seriously good work here, and it is evident in the trailer below.

As you may have seen, not only have they cleared up a large amount of the textures to deliver a “Crispy” looking remaster, but they have also given more detailed mouth moments. The eyes shift about in their heads more clearly (and eyes in Final Fantasy are a HUGE deal), the movements are smoother, and like the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix the music for the game (a personal favourite of mine) has been fully revamped in Orchestral glory, allowing for a much more authentic and beautiful sound.

Once more I am left stunned by Square Enix’ ability to create something beautiful out of something old, when it releases in North America and Europe, Final Fantasy X and X-2 will be over 10 Years old.

The official launch date for this HD remaster for both PS3 and Vita has been set for March 14th 2014 in Europe. Mark the date
