The Coen Brothers are back in predictably fine looking form with the first trailer for their folksy indie yarn, Inside Llewyn Davis.

The film stars Drive‘s Oscar Isaac as a struggling musician (an amalgamation of plenty of real life folk heroes, Dylan for one) who has unwillingly inherited a cat and is seemingly disliked by his one-time lover played by Isaac’s Drive co-star, Carey Mulligan.

Inside Llewyn Davis also stars Garret Hedlund (Tron:Legacy), John Goodman, Justin Timberlake and Adam Driver (Lincoln, HBO’s Girls).

Notably, this is one of those very rare Coen Brothers films that doesn’t feature the cinematography of long-time collaborator Roger Deakins, and is in fact shot by Oscar-nominated DOP Bruno Delbonnel (Amelie, A Very Long Engagement). The difference in style is remarkable and welcome and evidenced in the trailer below.

Inside Llewyn Davis will make it’s premiere for press and industry on February 9th. Keep your eyes peeled for feedback.
