Today marks the first full-length trailer for Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming DC action extravaganza Olympus Has Fallen. Aaron Eckhart is the president. Gerard Butler is the ex-Spec Ops, former secret service agent who is ‘the best hope you’ve got, sir’.

Eckhart and Butler combined are surely no Harrison Ford, but at least Morgan Freeman is playing Glenn Close. That was a nice surprise. Rick Yune is stepping in as Gary Oldman, and from the looks of things Angela Bassett has got her groove back in the form of Dean Stockwell, exclaiming such screenwriting inventiveness as ‘Oh my God.’

You guessed it. It’s a remake of Air Force One! But, on the ground? And with the same level of visual effects as the now 16 year old Wolfgang Petersen classic, it seems. Very questionable indeed, but also set to be largely entertaining. It will still be bad, but that’s neither here nor there.

Olympus Has Fallen will be released on April 19th, 2013 through Millennium Films.
