#GAMESCOM2014 – Halo: TMCC Gameplay Footage, Halo 5 Beta Will Run For 3 Weeks

Halo- The Master Chief Collection-0

There was plenty of Halo news to go around at the Xbox Gamescom conference, we learned more details on the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta, we saw some new Halo 2: Anniversary gameplay footage and learned of a new and exciting Halo Channel.

First up we learned that the Halo 5: Guardians beta that will bundled with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, will run for a total of three weeks, from December 29th – January 19th.  We also learned that the maps will be small during the beta and all loadouts, whether you’re Red or Blue will be the same, levelling the playing field for everyone.

A Halo Channel was also announced and by the looks of things, it will be an enhanced version of the Xbox 360 Halo Waypoint hub.  In the Halo Channel you will be able to load up your Halo games and beta, watch episodes of Halo: Nightfall, watch behind the scenes and community videos and much more.  343 Industries also announced a new partnership with the steaming service Twitch, which will also be included in the Halo Channel.

During the conference, 343 Industries also demonstrated the Sanctuary Map from Halo 2, which will of course be included in Halo 2: Anniversary within Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection will release exclusively for the Xbox One on November 11th.
