At Gamescom last night we got to see the first gameplay footage of Predator: Hunting Grounds, a 1vs4 asymmetrical co-op shooter that see’s a team of human-controlled human players, go against one human-controlled Predator.

The human mercs will be kitted out with guns and gadgets, and must work together as a team in-order to survive, not only against the Predator, but also AI enemies too.  The human mercs will be played in first-person, while the Predator will be controlled in third-person.

As seen in the gameplay trailer below, fans of the Predator may recognise the location with it being inspired by the jungle that featured in the 1987 movie classic.  Hopefully if the game proves to be a success, we might see other locations of the franchise as DLC, such as the concrete jungle from the sequel.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is developed by IllFonic, the team that brought us the other asymmetrical multiplayer title, Friday the 13thPredator: Hunting Grounds will release for PlayStation 4 sometime next year.
