It has been announced that PS4 exclusive Gran Turismo Sport will be getting a closed beta.  In the beta, you’ll not only have a chance to see the early build of the game, but you’ll also be able to help shape the final release version and race against other online players.

Those lucky enough to be selected will be able to select a variety of rotated cars and tracks each day during its beta testing period.  You’ll also get to use the Driver Profile, which much like Forza Motorsport’s Drivatar, the Driver Profile shapes real players behaviours and race-style on the track, offering a level of AI never seen in the series before.

The closed beta will be open first too US players from March 17th, followed by European testers at a slightly later (unconfirmed) date.  All the data recorded in the beta testing, will be sent direct to the developers in Tokyo, which will aid the development of the game.  The beta will be open during specific times of the day, but those dates will be shared closer to March 17th.

If you miss out on this closed beta, there will be further opportunities leading up to the games launch.  In the meantime you can register for the US beta here and the EU beta here.  Also be sure to check out the new beta announcement trailer below.

Gran Turismo Sport will release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 sometime this year.
