It’s not only Konami who have treated gamers to an early E3 surprise, as GT-TV have recently revealed a whole host of new trailers and details via their Pre-E3 show earlier today, hosted by Geoff Keighley in Times Square, New York. Not only was a new Star Wars title announced, but Tomb Raider and Dishonored got meaty in-game trailers, the new Lord Of The Rings game entitled ‘Guardians of Middle Earth‘ is revealed via a CG trailer, and the trailers from Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2 and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance were also shown. You can find them all embedded below, enjoy!

The biggest news from the show is by far the announcement of a new Star Wars game entitled 1313. While it was only a sneak peek at the title, a number of details were given and we’re told to expect a full gameplay trailer on Monday June 4th at 10pm ET. 1313 will be a third-person cover based title and you’ll be playing as a bounty hunter stalking targets in the capital of the Republic, Coruscant. They’re using performance capture technology to bring the characters to life, while also aiming to have seamless transitions between cutscenes and gameplay. For more details, check out the announcement.

Dishonored had a huge gameplay trailer which set up the tone as well as providing a good look at many of the mechanics in the game. With a mix of stealth, action and super natural powers, Dishonored casts you as a character who’s framed for murder and must assassinate his way to the truth. The gameplay looks great so far, and the environments are hugely detailed with a very stylised approach to both the graphics and art style. The first person combat looks brutal, with both guns and more up close and personal fights, as your character delivers satisfying final blows to the enemy. Elements of Bioshock, Thief, Deus Ex, Half Life and Hitman are all visible, and that’s no knock against it, as it looks unique enough by itself.

Tomb Raider also got an awesome looking gameplay trailer, giving us a good look at how the game’s progressed since its appearance at least year’s Microsoft Press Conference. Elements of survival gameplay are shown with both stealth and hunting mechanics, showing Lara in a very different light. Other gameplay elements include the possible slow-motion combat effects and the effects of the gritty environment on Lara herself, as she’s even gotten to the state of admitting that “I hate tombs”. It’ll be making another appearance at Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference this year apparently, and the release date has been set for March 5th 2013.

In a surprise announcement earlier this week, a new Lord Of The Rings game is on the way to Xbox Live Arcade and PSN. Entitled Guardians of Middle Earth, this 5v5 combat focused multiplayer title from Monolith Productions will be fully playable at E3, so expect many more details shortly. The CG trailer shows us familiar faces from both sides of the conflict including Gandalf, Legolas and Gollum.

The new gameplay trailer for Metal Gear Rising Revengence which was revealed earlier today at Konami’s Pre-E3 Show was showcased again, and for full details, check out the summary post of that event.

Also revealed earlier today, Konami’s trailer for the next Castlevania title, Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2 was also on show, and for full details, check out the summary post of that event.

If you’d rather watch the show as a whole, including the sneak peek of Star Wars 1313, you can find it below –

GT-TV’s Pre-E3 show gave us a lot to watch, not to mention an entirely new Star Wars game to look forward to. It was great to see both Tomb Raider and Dishonored in action, and E3 hasn’t even started proper yet!!

Keep an eye on our E3 page for the latest updates.
