The new launch trailer for Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has been released tonight alongside Channel 4’s Homeland. It lasts nearly 3 minutes, showing us more of Charlize Theron’s icy Weyland Corp employee Meredith Vickers who seems to know more than she’s willing to let on to the protagonists (perhaps wanting them to simply bring back evidence of alien life, but finding more than she bargained for), more of the embryo-like Face Hugger creatures and of course, the Space Jockey. Noomi Rapace’s character lies in a pod with a laser moving above her as she screams “Get it off me!” which perhaps signifies that she is host to an alien (perhaps Xenomorph?) embryo and needs to surgically remove it quickly. Michael Fassbender’s character is still an enigma, as he observes the action emotionlessly. Is he a villain or a protagonist?

We will find out all the answers when Prometheus releases on June 1st, in IMAX and in 3D.
