UPDATE: Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that Kevin Conroy won’t be voicing the Caped Crusader in Arkham Origins. He’ll still be lending his vocal talents to the game, but it doesn’t look like he’ll be starring as Batman.

Roger Craig Smith, known for his roles as Ezio Auditore in Assassin’s Creed, Chris Redfield in Resident Evil, and Sonic the Hedgehog.

It’s also been revealed that Troy Baker, who recently voiced Booker Dewitt in Bioshock Infinite, will be starring as The Joker.

Despite recent that he wouldn’t be voicing the character, Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy has confirmed he will be returning to the role in Batman: Arkham Origins, set for release on October 25th 2013.

Following the reveal of Arkham Origins, it was rumoured that the game would feature a younger voice actor to better fit the game’s more youthful Bruce Wayne. Conroy confirmed his return at the Dallas Comic Con:

I can talk about it now. We’ve been working for about nine or ten months on the next Arkham game. We all signed contracts so we weren’t allowed to talk about it. The studio likes to completely control the rollout of any product, so they don’t like us to talk about anything, but it’s now been announced.

It’s an unbelievable game, I still can’t say anything about it, and you don’t want me to anyway because it will ruin it for you, but it’s amazing. It’s a huge, huge cast, and a big story. It took almost a year of writing to put it together. They’ve been working on it a long time.

Arkham Origins
will be the first game in the series not developed by Rocksteady Studios, instead being developed by Warner Bros. Games Montreal.

In case you haven’t seen it, here’s the game’s recent reveal trailer:
