KickBeat Kicks It On To The PS3/Vita This September

KickBeat, a game that will be powered by your music will release by the 4th of September. The game recognizes the rhythm in your song and matches it to the action it provides! In fact, you can use any game on your PS3/Vita to fuel the gameplay. Also, since the game is on both Sony platforms, it will be a cross-buy title. Meaning, that a purchase on one will net you the other! According to the press release, to use your own music:

There are four simple steps to creating your own KickBeat Track:

1. Select a track from your music library on your PS Vita or PlayStation 3.
2. Find the rhythm by tapping the Triangle button along to the beat of the track.
3. Once you find the beat, continue tapping the Triangle button to set the beat.
4. The Track Generator will check the rhythm to ensure the beat is correct.

Once these steps are finished, a custom track will be generated using the selected song.

We have been experimenting with many different kinds of music, ranging from classical to rap, dubstep and even metal. It’s really fun to see what kind of fight you end up with. If you really want to beat your enemies to the latest Beiber track, well, you can do that in the privacy of your own screen.
