Lords Of The Fallen – The New Gen Dark Souls?

The Dark Souls series is famous for its unforgiving difficulty and harsh environments, and despite this it’s a game loved by many and rightly so.  With Dark Souls II out now on the PS3 and Xbox 360 and with a PC release just moments away, it’s left some gamers wishing for a new gen instalment for the PS4 and Xbox One.  While it seems that won’t happen anytime soon, there is hope on the horizon yet with another game from Bandai Namco coming to the PS4 and Xbox One later this year.

Lords of the Fallen has clearly taken inspiration from the Dark Souls series and if done right, it could very well be worth keeping a keen eye on.  Below is a gameplay trailer, screenshots and press release for the game, so take a look and let us know what you think in the comments section below.

In the trailer just above we see our protagonist getting killed a lot, by the beast known simply as the Champion Lord.  Below is some information on the ghastly beast.

Lords of the Fallen Summary

Lords of the Fallen is a challenging Action RPG set in a medieval fantasy world ruled by a Fallen God. Fighting against the formidable Lords and Generals that command his demonic army is the main feature of the game. LORDS of the fallen rewards skill and persistence among dedicated Action RPG fans.

The combat system consists of many complex skills that join both weapon mastery and supernatural abilities combined with large number of weapons, armours and upgrades. Large variety of items and gear can be found throughout re-exploration and investigating game’s deep and intriguing secret areas.
