Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 Announced as Nintendo Switch Exclusive #TheGameAwards

The first Marvel Ultimate Alliance in 2006 and its sequel in 2009 were both multi-format, and other then releasing as very basic ports on this current-gen in 2016, we’ve not particularly heard a great deal about the series, let alone a new game.  However, at The Game Awards last night, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order was revealed to the world and it will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive.

This top-down, 4-player co-op, action-role playing game will be developed by Team Ninja, who are famed with the Dead or Alive series, as well as Nioh.  So this is quite the step in a different direction, but intriguing none the less.  One of the great  things about the Marvel Ultimate Alliance series was that they had packed rosters and this 3rd instalment seems to be no exception, as in the trailer below, we see the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Avengers and X-Men to name but a few.  And they will be fighting against a band of villains known as The Black Order led by Thanos.

While no release date was given, we do know that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order will release sometime in 2019, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
