EA has released a brand new trailer showcasing the technology they’ve used to bring the fighters to life in their upcoming title, EA Sports UFC.

In the below video Brian Hayes, creative director for the game, explains how fighters have been digitally recreated using their most advanced motion capture hardware allowing EA to create highly detailed models for the fighters ranging from their muscled physiques to the small facial details and animations. They’ve also added fighters own unique traits, personalities and fight styles into the game, such as Anthony Pettis’ Showtime Kick, the trademark one-arm cartwheel from Jon Jones and much more, making gamers feel like they’re as close to being their favourite fighters as possible.

The games looks pretty good so far and answers more questions than the recent screenshots we’ve been drip-fed over the last few months, but we’ve still yet to see any real gameplay and the game still hasn’t received a firm release date. I guess we’ll need to be patient and hope some real in-game footage is released soon. I for one would love to see how the stand-up and grappling system will work compared to the previous THQ UFC titles and EA’s own MMA game.

EA Sports UFC is due out in Spring 2014 for Xbox One and Playstation 4.
