For months now EA Sports has been releasing still images of new fighters added to the roster of EA Sports UFC. There’s also been a few short videos showing how it’s all coming together, but there has been very little in the way of actual gameplay footage…until now. Finally EA Sports has released a gameplay video showcasing how EA Sports UFC will actually feel in-game. We see how brutal body shots will ripple up fighters torsos from the impact, how submissions will take place as well as impressive slams and throws and the visible damage to the fighters faces will change throughout the fight.

It looks damn impressive I must say. All the fighters look like their real-life counterparts and the brutality of the sport really does seem to come across nicely as punches and kicks appear to have a real impact and weight behind their animations. Until we get some real time with the game it’s hard to judge just how well this will come across in-game, but for now I’m suitably impressed.

Notable fighters featured in the video are Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, Chris Weidman, Jon Jones, Lyoto Machida, Alexander Gustafsson, Benson Henderson, Anthony Pettis and we also get a quick glimpse at two of the biggest names in the sport of MMA in Anderson Silva and Georges St-Pierre, both of whom are currently out of action due to injury and taking time away from the sport respectively.

Take a look at the brutal gameplay video below, if you’re impressed you won’t have too long to wait to try it out for yourself as EA Sports UFC is expected for release in spring 2014 for Xbox One and PS4.
