Back at this year’s E3; Sony concluded the annual convention with high-praise all around, thanks to its AAA roster of exclusive games and the PlayStation Vita. But that was not all, Sony also made the tremendous announcement of a PlayStation certified 3D monitor being released late this year.

Sony’s Jack Tretton explained that the 24” 3D monitor is to be released as an affordable alternative for anyone who wishes to be part of the up rise in 3D technology. In its initial announcement, the monitor was to be bundled with a HDMI cable, a pair of PlayStation certified 3D glasses, and a copy of the upcoming PS3 exclusive, Resistance 3. However, within a month or two, Resistance 3 was replaced by chaotic racer, Motorstorm: Apocalypse, also a PS3 exclusive.

For those of you who were disheartened by the sudden change in game, then don’t fret; because Sony has made the announcement that anyone who pre-orders the 3D monitor bundle before September 30th, will get Resistance 3 ABSOLUTLY FREE, alongside Motorstorm: Apocalypse.

And for those of you who are still on the fence as to whether the 3D monitor is worth your well earned cash; here is a brand-new video, boasting its awesome features, including:

–         24″ monitor – 1080p High-Definition display with full 3D compatibility

–          Built-in subwoofer

–          Ultra-slim and stylish design, boasting the “PS” logo

–          SimuView: brand-new technology that allows friends to play multiplayer titles, and view them in two different fullscreen images, instead of splitscreen (3D glasses required)

The PlayStation 3D monitor is set to be released sometime in November 2011.
