#PGW David Cage announces Quantic Dreams Detroit: Become Human

Remember a few years ago when David Cage demonstrated a short, but emotional and memorable PS3 tech demo called Kara?  Kara is an android that was born in an assembly factory, but has human emotions just like you and I.  But as quickly as she was put together, she was taken apart piece by piece.

So when David Cage took to the stage at Paris Games Week during the PlayStation conference, he said that ever since that Kara tech demo, people have been asking questions about her whereabouts ever since.  In Quantic Dreams latest videogame outing, we will learn of Kara’s story, in her world, in our cruel world, which led us on to the announcement of Detroit: Become Human.

Detroit: Become Human looks to be as every bit emotional as you might expect from the talented studio, perhaps more than ever before on the PS4.  Kara feels human emotions, she looks and feels human, speaks like a human, has a new fascination of our world, almost like a child and she is more intelligent than most humans.  But the humans see her as nothing more than a machine built in a factory, something to be intimidated by and discriminate against.  In Kara’s story, Quantic Dreams wanted to explore what it means to be human.

You can watch the stunning announcement trailer above and for good measure, I’ll include that original Kara Tech Demo below.  No release date was announced for Detroit: Become Human, but we’ll keep you updated on this PS4 exclusive when we hear more.
