#PGW2017 The Last of Us II trailer reveals humanities brutal side with new characters

At Paris Games Week, the sequel to arguably one of the best video games of all time got a brand new trailer for the hotly anticipated The Last of Us Part II.  With the first game and surely much of the sequel, the story will focus mainly on Ellie and Joel.  However in this latest trailer, we get introduced to some of the games newest characters, but be warned as its quite a brutal one to watch.

At the moment, we don’t know who these characters are, how they will exactly fit into the games story or when the footage seen below takes place, so it will be fun speculating until we get some official details.  All we know for sure at this time is that we humans can be a grim, cruel and harsh bunch at times.  Below, you’ll also find a short interview with Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann as he talks about how far the series has come, now that it’s running on the updated engine that powered the fantastic Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy, as well as a batch of new screenshots.

The Last of Us Part II is expected to release for the PlayStation 4 sometime next year.
