Pokémon Sword and Shield Trailer Reveals Galarian Region Types and More!

A new gameplay video released for Pokémon Sword and Shield has revealed some of the Galarian region forms that will appear in the games.  Similar to Pokémon from the Alola region, Galar will have their own spin on already existing Pokémon, namely with Weezing, Zigzagoon and Linoone.  The Galarian Weezing  (Poison /Fairy type) looks to be inspired by the industrial revolution, wearing a funny top hat, while Zigzagoon (Dark/Normal type) and Linoone (Dark/Normal type) look quite snazzy in their black & white stripes, Linoone can also evolve into the mean looking Obstagoon (Dark/Normal type).

We also learned of two new rivals, Bede and Marnie, as well as a new punk-rock inspired group known as Team Yell, who Marnie is a member of.  You will also be able to take on jobs in Pokémon Sword and Shield, which will be listed at Rotomi in Pokémon Centres and you’ll then send out your chosen Pokémon to complete that job mission.  You can also train your Pokémon to be better suited for certain jobs and your Pokémon will also improve with jobs they complete, and there’s a chance of earning rare items as a reward.

You can check out a big batch of new screenshots and the new gameplay trailer revealing the Galarian types in this article.  Pokémon Sword and Shield will release for the Nintendo Switch on November 15th.
