Sega Announce Yakuza Spin-Off, Project Judge and Here’s Two Trailers

Sega has announced a new game, set within the Yakuza universe called Project Judge (or Judge Eyes as it’s also known).  Developed by the same team that brought us the Yakuza series, Project Judge appears to be running on the Dragon Engine and is also set in Kamurocho.   The game will see you play as Yagami, a defence lawyer, turned private detective as you take on cases and investigate some of the dodgy inhabitants of the city.

In terms of gameplay, it looks to be very similar to that of the Yakuza series and it appears to retain some of that lovable quirkiness, all while still making the protagonist look bad ass.  Two trailers were released at the Tokyo Game Show, a Story and Gameplay trailer, both of which you can find below.

Project Judge aka Judge Eyes will release in Japan on December 13th, with the game aiming to be released over here in the west sometime next year (hopefully early 2019).  Also, if you have a Japanese PSN account, there is a playable demo available to download right now if you want to check it out.
