Sony Announces Limited Edition Translucent PS4 Pro to Celebrate 500m Console Sales

To celebrate Sony selling over a mighty 523.5 million PlayStation units since the very first console launched in 1994(PS4 has sold over 81.2 units so far), they have announced a gorgeous, translucent Limited Edition PS4 Pro console, dubbed the 500 Million Limited Edition.  It will go on sale this month on August 24th.

The 2TB PS4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition console is truly limited as there will only be 50,000 available, so expect these consoles to be very difficult to get hold of, with inflated prices on outlets such as eBay.  The console will have a commemorative plate located at the front of the console with its unique limited edition number being displayed.

Priced at £449.99/€499.99/$499.99 USD/$639.99 CAD, this translucent console will let you see what’s on the inside, kinda of similar to the N64 consoles available in multiple colours from back in the day.  It will also come with a translucent DualShock 4 controller, a PlayStation camera, a vertical stand, mono headset, HDMI, USB cable and all the other usual baggage.

You can also purchase the Limited DualShock 4 controller separately, which has an RRP of £54.99/€64.99/$64.99 USD/$74.99 CAD.  Also, to purchase separately (and not included with the console) is the Gold Wireless Headset 500 Million Limited Edition which will set you back at least £77.99//€89.99/$99.99/$119.99 CAD.

Will you be attempting to pick up this console or any of its accessories?  Let us know across our social media channels.
