TGS 2014 was very much a Square Enix show in the JRPG world as they took to the podium with a storm of gorgeous visuals, reworked from PSP title Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, which not only showcases one of the best remasters in the company’s long history, but backing it up with this beautiful trailer above, showing that Final Fantasy XV will be a playable demo along with the release of the Type-0 game! Meaning if you purchase Type-0, you’re getting Final Fantasy XV’s demo named “Episode Duscae“. This snippet of the game will feature roughly 3-5 hours of content, with driving around, fighting and dungeons to explore. For a demo this is some great content!

Major note here, as Square Enix has announced a restructure of its internal staff, here is a quote directly from the company “The company also announced today that, as part of a development restructure, Hajime Tabata, director of the original FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 and FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0 HD, will now serve as director of FINAL FANTASY XV as development of the title moves towards completion.

So my guess is that since Final Fantasy XV is so close to finishing the main stages of development, Tetsuya Nomura can now focus his full efforts on creating more new Square Enix titles – including as director of the highly-anticipated Kingdom Hearts III. Of course I’m airing on the side of positives here.

A demo for Final Fantasy XV will be released with Final Fantasy Type-0 next March. Keep your eyes peeled to Push Start for more info on this as it goes through!
