The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Is Getting Remade for Switch This Year

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening originally released way back in 1993 for the original Game Boy, before being re-released in 1999 for the Game Boy Color.  However at this week’s Nintendo Direct it was announced that this handheld classic is to be re-made from the ground up for the Nintendo Switch and its releasing this year.

The Nintendo Direct gave us a glimpse at the gameplay in action, and it looked absolutely gorgeous.  I lost many an hour playing this back in the day and I can’t wait to lose myself once again this year.  No solid release date was given, but we’ll let you know, once we know.  In the meantime, you can check out its gameplay trailer and some screenshots below.
