Two New ‘Ryse: Son Of Rome’ Story Trailers Emerge

Crytek have released a couple of new cinematic trailers for Ryse: Son of Rome, focusing on the game’s plot and introducing us to the vast Roman world.

The first trailer, seen below, delves into the plot. After returning home from battle, Marius Titus, a skilled warrior and the protagonist for Ryse: Son Of Rome, he discovers barbarians have slaughtered his family. Seeking revenge, he sets off on an epic journey to raise an army and get vengeance on those who took away his loved ones. There’s also hints at corruption and various styles of battle, from one on one melee battles to commanding vast armies. It all looks absolutely stunning with Rome never looking so good.

 

The second trailer is a graphical departure from the former. In a beautifully and bloody animated sequence it tells the story of Damocles, a legendary warrior who was left to die by his cowardly generals. Nemesis, the goddess of revenge, sent Damocles back to the world of the living as a vengeful spirit. Clad in black armour he tracked down and slaughtered those who had betrayed him.

 

With Watch_Dogs now delayed until Spring 2014, Ryse: Son Of Rome could be a fantastic replacement on launch day.

Ryse: Son of Rome will be released as a launch title for Xbox One on November 22nd.
