Watch the Launch Trailer for Yakuza 0, and the First Hour of Gameplay

 

Yakuza 0 is a smart move by Sega. Despite the series being a lot of fun and having a cult following the numbers on it are a daunting sight for many. Yakuza 0 though is the start of it all, which makes it much more accessible to the average consumer. It’s also out now, which makes it very accessible to everyone that has a PlayStation 4 and money.

 

Set in Japan in 1988, a time of decadence where the bubble economy was booming and everyone was spending. You will get to play as long-time series favourites Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima and see how they became the men they are. It’s an intriguing prequel that refines the addictive combat the game is famous for, whilst retaining its intriguing crime story and odd sense of humour.

 

Sega will also be releasing free content updates for the first few weeks after release, which is a great way to entice buyers in to picking it up. You can watch the launch trailer below and also see me play through the first hour and a bit to whet your appetites.
