Whether you’re keen on the idea of the new turn-based combat that will feature in Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon, one aspect of the game that will surely please fans regardless, are the fantastic mini-games that are associated with the series and Yakuza 7 looks to be no exception.

It has been revealed that Yakuza 7 will have a whole host of mini-games (thanks Gematsu), including a Kart Racing mini-game called Dragon Kart, set on the streets of Yokosuka and will even have power-ups to pick up via boxes on the track, which includes rocket launchers and Gatling guns!  The chances are that this will be a very well done mini-game, that could likely stand on its own as separate content, if my experience with the series is anything to go by.

New mini-games also include trying to keep new protagonist Ichiban Kasuga awake in a movie theatre and if anyone can turn this into a fun mini-game, it’s the folks at Ryu ga Gotoku Studio.  There will also be PachiSlot gambling machines, which are said to be the only PachiSlot simulators running on PS4.  And unlike some other games, these are gambling mini-games in an adult rated title and the chances are, they won’t be micro-transaction related.

Sega has also released the full version of the trailer that released last week, detailing the story of Yakuza 7 and this time it has English subtitles, you can watch that very trailer below.

Are you excited by any of these mini-games?  Let us know across our social media channels.  Yakuza 7: Like a Dragon will release January 16th, 2020 in Japan, and then later in the year for Europe and Americas.
