The Nintendo Switch release date and pricing was announced to the world during the early hours of this morning (details here). While for some its launch line-up of games maybe be a little disappointing for some, Zelda fans can at least celebrate the fact that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be releasing as a Nintendo Switch launch title on March 3rd. It was also confirmed that Breath of the Wild will also release on the Nintendo Wii U on the very same date.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is also coming to #WiiU on March 3rd.
A new gameplay trailer was also released and it looks every bit as stunning as you might expect. The near four minute trailer includes combat, methods of travel, exploration and we even get a first full look at Princess Zelda. The trailer also features a voice-over from what appears to be Zelda’s father, who gives us hints as to what the story to Breath of the Wild might entail. You can watch the awesome new trailer below.
There will also be various editions of Breath of Wild to pick up at launch. The Special Edition which includes a Switch slate carry case, soundtrack CD, a map of Hyrule and a Sheikah coin and of course a copy of the game (image seen below).
The Limited Edition will include a Master Sword of Resurrection figurine, a soundtrack CD and a copy of the game. You can watch its trailer below. Both the Special and Limited Editions have been announced for the Switch, there is no word as of yet for these being available on the Wii U.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will release this coming March on the 3rd for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U.
