Other than some crispy anime-style visuals, Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers will also feature a whole host of additional modes.

Obviously throughout the years, the Street Fighter series has always been about challenging your friends and of course in the modern day era, taking that challenge to the world of online multiplayer and Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers would be no exception to that heritage.

A Street Fighter game wouldn’t be complete without an Arcade mode to test your skills against the CPU on the comfort of your couch.  From the comfort of your own couch, you will also be able to battle in a Versus Mode or if you’re feeling like some friendly team based competition, then you’ll be able to take on the CPU in Buddy Battle, where you can team up with a friend to take on CPU teams.  This sounds much like what you’d expect to find in the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise.

New to this Nintendo Switch release is the Way of the Hado mode, which you’ll be able to play Street Fighter in a First-Person perspective using the motion-sensing Joy-Con capabilities against the Shadaloo army while attempting to bring down your foe with signature moves such as Hadokens, Shoryukens and more!  How this mode will play and feel remains to be seen, but hopefully it will at least be functional and enjoyable, we shall see.

Of course you’ll also be able to take the battle online with some Ranked and Casual matches as you attempt to climb the online leaderboards which will track both your Player Points and character-specific Battle Points.

USF: TFC will also feature drop-in/drop-out multiplayer where you’ll be able to accept or make challenges in your home or even on the go. The game will also feature a Training Mode (which is self-explanatory) and you’ll also be able to save your favourite replays.

Ultra Street Fighter: The Final Challengers will release for Nintendo Switch on May 26th.
