The Twitch app that will be coming to the Xbox One on March 11th has been confirmed that it will run at 720p and 30fps, which isn’t too shabby at all considering it’s via a live console stream.  This information was revealed after Major Nelson was playing around with the Xbox One Twitch app while playing Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare and after the Reddit user rotj confirmed the frame rate and resolution.

It has also been confirmed that the Xbox One Twitch app can automatically archive your broadcasts, supports chat via both Kinect and headset, broadcasters can join a party while watching their stream and you can also display an in-game picture of yourself playing the game in the corner of the screen, much like you can do when streaming on the PC with a webcam.

Xbox One president of marketing Yusuf Mehdi wasted no time to utilise the superior Xbox One Twitch app, over that of the PS4’s by saying:

That’s a very certain type of experience,” he said of Sony’s offering. “For us, we thought that was too limiting for what our fans would want. Our fans really want the full next-gen service, so that’s why we decided to take our time, do it right and have it come out in this fashion.
