This Week In Film! (3/12/10)

This week in the US film releases has some interesting films to look foreword to. First up, “The Exploding Girl”, a love story for this generation that was a big hit in the film festival circuit, is seeing a limited release in theaters. Next, you have “Green Zone”, The “Jason Bourne-esque” action movie by the director of 2 Bourne movies that stars Matt Damon, but has nothing to do with Jason Bourne at all. In the next release, director Noah Baumbach hopes “Greenberg” becomes a cult hit like his last indie hit “The Squid and the Whale” did. The romantic comedy “Our Family Wedding” seems to have slipped out of my radar and snuck up on me! Not sure why! I mean it stars America Ferrera, Forest Whitaker and… Carlos Mencia?! …Oh that makes sense now. Robert Pattinson is trading in his fangs to play the troubled heartthrob in “Remember Me”. And finally rounding out the list is the edgy comedy “She’s Out of My League”.
