Creator of the fantastic Castlevania animation series on Netflix, Adi Shankar cut a WWE style promo with IGN announcing that he has gained the rights to produce a new animation series for Capcom’s Devil May Cry.  If you follow Adi Shankar on social media, you might very well know that this flamboyant artist and producer is a fan of WWE and IGN played along brilliantly with the reveal.

However, quite possibly the most intriguing news to come out of the reveal is that Devil May Cry will be a part of what Adi Shankar is calling a “bootleg” multiverse that also includes his Castlevania series.  This alone is exciting news which will see flagship franchise’s of Capcom and Konami join forces, and in doing so, it opens up wide-world of crossover possibilities!  Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid anyone?

Back in July last year, Adi Shankar also announced that he is working on an animation series for Assassin’s Creed to also air on Netflix, so there’s every chance that Ubisoft could also be getting in on this bootleg multiverse.  The prospects are certainly exciting.
