And the nominations are…

It’s award season in Hollywood, and whilst many are using the Golden Globe’s as a prediction on the outcome of the Academy Awards (aka. The Oscars), personally, I think we shouldn’t do so. The Oscars are an entirely seperate award ceremony, and really, I’m just kind of hoping it’s not going to be the same as the Golden Globes, mainly because I really disagreed with some of the winners, (*cough* THE SOCIAL NETWORK *cough*).

So in the run up to the Oscars, The Hollywood Reporter has been conducting a few special interviews with the people behind the movies nominated. First off they held a discussion with the Screenwriters for films such as ‘The Social Network’, ‘127 Hours’, ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ and ‘Toy Story 3′, amongst others. And the latest discussion video posted is with six lead actors, many of whom have been dominating the year’s Awards’ ceremonies – Ryan Gosling, Robert Duvall, Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Colin Firth and James Franco.

Now both interviews are just over the 1 hour mark, which is long but the discussions are so engaging the time will fly past. As somebody who loves the behind-the-scenes insights into films just as much as the actual finished product, I found both discussions highly interesting. In particular, the discussion with the Actors is of particular interest. To hear straight from the horses mouths as to what it’s like creating and starring in some of the best movies, is entirely invaluable and really interesting for any movie-buff to watch. ENJOY!
