Hunger Games: Catching Fire Teaser Promo Arrives
The Quarter Quell is not far off now! In our strange marketing culture now of revealing teasers for teasers, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is due to reveal its first trailer during the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, April 14th. A short promo shows off the tense announcement of the contestants for the 75th Hunger Games (which will see previous winners chosen to participant again, in a sadistic move in response to Katniss’ defiance of the Capitol) and sees Jennifer Lawrence in all her post-Oscar win glory.
Hopefully Francis Lawrence (director of I Am Legend and Constantine), due to also direct the two-part finale to the series, Mockingjay, can match (and, fingers crossed, even surpass) the high standards of Gary Ross’ initial entry into the franchise with last year’s The Hunger Games. An incredible talent like Jennifer Lawrence should never be wasted (after the Oscars we can all forget about House at the End of the Street), after all.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is due for release in the UK November 22nd, 2013.
