Netflix Announce Dragon’s Dogma Anime Series

Netflix sure do love creating anime’s based upon popular videogames.  We already have the fantastic Castlevania series, with also the likes of Devil May Cry and Assassin’s Creed on the way, all of which created by the supremely talented Adi Shankar.

Well now it’s the turn of Dragon’s Dogma, a popular RPG from Capcom that initially released in 2012.  The Dragon’s Dogma anime will be in partnership Sublimation, here’s the official blurb on the newly announced series:

Based on a world-famous action RPG set in an open world, Dragon’s Dogma from Capcom will be brought to life as a Netflix original anime series. The story follows a man’s journey seeking revenge on a dragon who stole his heart. On his way, the man is brought back to life as an ‘Arisen’. An action adventure about a man challenged by demons who represent the seven deadly sins of humans.

Netflix also announced that other anime series are also on the way, including Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 (Production I.G), Altered Carbon: Resleeved (anima), Spriggan (David Production), Vampire in the Garden Wit Studio) and Super Crooks (bones).
