Netflix’s The Witcher Gets First Key Images

I am sure by now a lot of you would have already seen Henry Cavill as the iconic; Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series, however, an interesting thing to note here is that he is only carrying one sword, rather than his usual two.

There is a bit of a misconception going on that he only has one sword in the books, but that is not really true as in The Last Wish, Geralt makes a point of carrying two swords, each for a unique person or monster. I do wonder if he’ll come to get his second sword through the course of the show via a storyline.

Yennefer and Ciri were also introduced, who will be of course present in the show. It is worth noting that the show will be heavily inspired by the novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, rather than the games, which itself were quite different from the literary source material.
