New Prometheus Viral Introduces Dr. Elizabeth Shaw
In the latest viral trailer for the marketing campaign of Ridley Scott’s highly-anticipated sci-fi epic Prometheus, we are introduced to Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (played by Noomi Rapace of the Millennium trilogy, cleverly referenced as her name glitches to ‘Lizbet’ in the left panel) as she pleads with the Weyland Corporation to support her dream of finding the place in which questions surrounding human origin can be answered. The viral is eerie, with strange glitches as the system tries to match her image and name, though perhaps not as unsettling as the previous viral ‘Happy Birthday David’ (which introduced Michael Fassbender’s character, the David 8 android).
The clip contains a ‘Yutani’ logo – as in Weyland Yutani, the famous corporation of the Alien franchise – so, as the companies have not yet merged in this timeline, it will be interesting to see what part Yutani has to play in the film.
