Plugging The Last Airbender

You may be aware that Nickelodeon’s Kid’s Choice Awards happened at the weekend and The Last Airbender was plugged for all it was worth.

All the cast of the new film made an appearance at the slime filled award show, but this wasn’t all that was done to promote the film.

A brand new Tv spot trailer was released which featured two new scenes that consisted of Aang and Zuko fighting and the gang riding on Appa. Another trailer was also released with some new scenes.

There was also a featurette of Nicola Peltz aka. Katara ‘slimebending’. Of course this was aimed at the younger market and isn’t really relative to the story but at least it’s a half decent attempt to promote it.

The problem I worry about is that fans like myself aka 16-19 year olds who watched the show in their earlier years will have a problem. The film is being really targeted at kids and this is sort of a shame as I wanted to see quite a bit of hard action violence.

Still it’s not over yet.
