Way back in 2014, it was revealed that a Resident Evil TV series was in the works, produced by Constantin Films, the company that produced and distributed the movies starring Milla Jovovich.  Since then, we’ve heard nothing about the proposed TV series, as it wonders lost in the depths Arklay Mountains.

However, according to reports from Deadline.com, that presumed dead TV series appears to have risen from the grave like a naked corpse shot in the ass with the T-Virus and it is to be developed by Netflix.  Constantin Film will once again be involved, which gives me a level of concern, however, Netflix recently has an excellent track-record of producing fantastic series’ and with them apparently handling the script, hopefully the license should be in good hands.

While no plot details have been revealed, Deadline believes that it will closely follow the lure of the series, which will explore its mythology further.  It will follow the basic premise of the series and will feature Umbrella Corp leading the bad guy charge after the world has been infected with the T-Virus.  It will also apparently feature “signature elements, including action sequences” and “Easter eggs” from the franchise.

Back in December, it was also revealed that the Resident Evil movie series will be getting a reboot, with a new director, producer and writer at the helm.  More details on that story can be found here.

Oh and today just so happens to be the launch day of the bloody brilliant Resident Evil 2 remake, you can read our review here.
