Fans across the world are today mourning the loss of a true legend in every sense of the world, as Stan Lee has passed away aged 95 years young.  In recent years, Stan Lee has struggled with bouts of pneumonia, but despite this he had continued to work his magic in the world of Marvel late on in his life, and more recently, even appeared as a cameo in DC’s Teen Titans GO! To the Movies.

Stan Lee co-founded Marvel in 1961 with Jack Kirby starting with The Fantastic Four.  Since that time 1000’s upon 1000’s comics have released, countless hours of TV series time from animations to live-action programs such as Daredevil and Jessica Jones on Netflix and more.  And of course the Marvel cinematic universe continues to grow from strength to strength as Stan Lee’s legacy and influence continues to grow evermore.

Just last year, Stan Lee’s wife Joan. B passed away after 69 years of marriage.  J.C Lee, the daughter of Stan told TMZMy father loved all of his fans.  He was the greatest, most decent man.”  And no doubt, Stan Lee’s legion of fans share the same compassionate love in return.  Co-director of Avengers 4, Joe Russo has also confirmed that Stan Lee has filmed his very last cameo before he had passed away.

It’s certainly a sad time for the family, friends and fans of Stan Lee, but this is by no means the end of his legacy.  So we’d like to thank Stan Lee for a lifetime of joy and entertainment that will last generations to come.

Finally as Stan Lee so perfectly put it in Spider-Man 3 (2007), “one person can make a difference, enough said” and he sure did.  Thank you Stan Lee.
