The Last of Us HBO finally finds its Abby for season 2

It seems that HBO and Naughty Dog have found the actress to play Abby in season two of The Last of Us TV series.

There have been a few names being thrown about online in recent months, including Florence Pugh (Midsommar, Fighting with My Family, Black Widow). However, according to a report from The Insider, it looks like Kaitlyn Dever will be our Abby.

My initial thought is that Kaitlyn Dever may be too small in stature to play Abby Anderson. That being said, if any of you have watched Dopesick, Unbelievable or No One Will Save You, you’ll be familiar with how much of an amazing actress Kaitlyn Dever is. So I have no doubts that she’ll knock this role out of the park. The Insider states that talks are ongoing, but it’s likely that this is pretty much a done deal.

No release date has been announced for the second season of The Last of Us, but it is expected to premiere between late 2024 to early 2025 (hopefully).
