According to reports from CBC, The Last of Us TV show from HBO will begin filming on July 5th with the aim to wrap up production on June 8th, 2022.

Recently it had been revealed that the HBO series will follow the story of the first The Last of Us game, but it will deviate to keep viewers on their toes.

In the game, there’s so much action you have to train the player about mechanics. You have to have more violence and more spectacle to some degree than you would need on a TV show because you don’t need to train people on how to use a gun.

So that’s something that’s been really different, and HBO’s been great in pushing us to move away from hardcore action and focus more on the drama of the character,” Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann previously told IGN earlier in the year.

Earlier this year the roles of Ellie and Joel were cast.  Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) is to play Ellie and Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones, The Mandalorian) is to play Joel.
