The Last of Us season 2 casts Jesse and Dina
The pre-production for HBO’s The Last of Us season two is now in full swing with as many as three castings being announced this week.
Earlier in the week it was announced that the brilliant Kaitlyn Dever will play the highly anticipated role of Abby Anderson from The Last of Us Part II, but we know who will play Jesse and Dina.
Without giving too much away, in The Last of Us Part II there’s somewhat of a complicated relationship between Ellie, Dina and Jesse. Assuming that season two of the HBO series will follow a similar path it will be interesting to see how that dynamic plays out in live-action form.
Firstly, Young Mazino (Beef) is playing Jesse and Isabela Merced (Dora and the Lost City of Gold) is playing Dina. I don’t know much about Young Mazino, but he at least looks very much like the video game character that he is playing. I have seen Isabela Mazino in the Dora live-action family movie and she plays the role well with some fantastic comedic timing.
The Last of Us season two is expected to premiere in 2025 with full production beginning next month in February.
