Transformers 3 Extra Critically Injured
A woman was severely injured in a stunt that went wrong on the Hammond, Indiana set, Transformers 3, has undergone brain surgery. The woman in question – Gabriella Cedillo – mother & brother told WBBM Channel 2 that the 24-year-old bank teller is now stable following an operation that took place Thursday afternoon.
Cedillo was filming a which scene involved several cars when, reportedly, a tow cable snapped, whipped around and smashed the windshield, striking her on the head. A mile down the road her car rolled to stop, emergency fire and medical personnel were on the scene immediately and a critically injured Cedillo was airlifted to Loyola University Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.
After the accident, production on the blockbuster, though it is unclear whether this was the result of what had happened. Representatives for DreamWorks and Paramount Pictures, the studios co-releasing Transformers 3, have so far not commented on the matter and Indiana State Police are investigating the mishap.
