It was revealed at the Konami pre-E3 show by Kojima, that the renowned actor Kiefer Sutherland will be taking on the role of Snake, by providing both the vocal and facial capture for the character. Kojima got this idea after he had talked to the famous producer Avi Arad at the Metal Gear Solid 25th anniversary celebration, where Kojima thought that it was a great idea, and that after some time, it was moving to see how dedicated Kiefer had become to the project.

On the other hand, even though Kiefer Sutherland is not a gamer himself, he feels honored to be able to play such a strong character as Snake, noting that he was well aware of the franchise and its unbelievable success. Furthermore, Kojima hopes to use their new proprietary Fox Engine to create believable characters in a photo-realistic environment, saying that it will be something very special with depth in the gameplay and its story.

The full Metal Gear Solid V experience is set to be a combination of both the prologue, Ground Zeroes and the sequel, The Phantom Pain. No release date or structure has been released yet, but stay tuned for updates and be sure to check out the full reveal below!
