Blacklight : Tango Down Comic Book Announced

The upcoming downloadable game will not only have a movie spin off but a comic book spin off as well…

imageThe team behind Blacklight: Tango Down can’t contain just focusing on the game and the film but are now opening up other to the saga… A comic book.  The comic book is in a collaboration with Ignition Entertainment (distributor) and the developer Zombie Studios and Storm Lion Publishing.  The comic book will be written by Jared Gerritzen, Ian stephens and Cullen Galagar. The stroy will be by Jason Dean Hall and Eric Lieb who also will focus on the art of the comic with Strom Lion’s Zid
The project is a result of a collaborative process between Blacklight: Tango Down’s distributor, Ignition Entertainment, the game’s developer Zombie Studios, and Storm Lion Publishing. Created by Zombie Studios co-CEO and style driver Mark Long, Blacklight: Tango Down is written by Jared Gerritzen, Ian Stephens and Cullen Galagher with story by Jason Dean Hall and Eric Lieb, and art direction by Storm Lion’s Zid.
 
The story will follow Blacklight: America’s elite covert ops team. Sent behind enemy lines to rescue a Colonel gone MIA, they find themselves in a war-torn city filled with infected, raging fiends. To achieve their objective they must pit themselves against The Order, a formidable paramilitary force who hold the key to the Colonelʼs whereabouts and the secret behind
the virus outbreak. 
The plot ties to the upcoming game while expanding on the lore with a completely separate story line. The comic book will be a pit stop on the non-traditional road the Blacklight franchise.

The comic will be priced at $2.99 (£2.50 UK) and will be released on July 13th 2010 with over 38 pages of juicy comic book goodness.
