Here in the North East we don’t get a lot of gaming events, which is a shame because quite frankly buses and trains to the lower regions are expensive. So whatever are we to do?

Fear not, for Teesside University has just the event your looking for, even if your a non-student. Taking place in the students union situated within easy reach of bus and train terminals, Awesome Gaming Event (AGE) VI  looks to bring together many like minded people to play games and raise some money for charity. All in all a good day will be had meeting people, beating people and perhaps taking something home.

Charity tournaments are running for Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Super Street Fighter 4 AE, Super Smash Bros Brawl and Modern Warfare 3, as well as a high score Rock Band challenge!

Sound like your idea of fun? As long as your 18+ just turn up on Thursday December 1st. Entry is free and the event runs from 10am to 4pm with any and all proceeds accumulated during the event going directly to Child’s Play.

More information can be found on the event’s Facebook group
